It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

As theater artists, Willo and Alexa are frustrated with the current state of the theater industry. They lament the prevalence of cookie-cutter Broadway adaptations that fail to inspire. Many regional productions lack originality, trying to replicate the grandeur of Broadway with limited budgets, resulting in performances that fall flat. This stifles creativity and leaves them feeling unsatisfied.

Their vision, encapsulated in End Times Theater, seeks to reinterpret both classic and contemporary stories without altering scripts, aiming to reflect current societal realities and regional identities. While Minneapolis has theaters specializing in exploratory practices, few focus on musical theater, which is where End Times aims to fill the gap. They want to combat the dull, formulaic productions that dominate the scene.

Willo and Alexa see End Times as a venture of chaotic good against the “lawful evil” in the industry. Tired of rejection and naysayers, they’re determined to challenge themselves and the status quo. End Times Theater will create performances that reflect the anger and hope surrounding the perceived collapse of both the theater industry and life itself. They are committed to providing a space for the emotional complexities people face as they grapple with unfulfilled dreams, inspired by a community of young theater makers eager to instigate change.
